Great Outdoors Taxidermy
Jeff Geydoshek, sole owner and operator of Great Outdoors Taxidermy in Trenton, Wisconsin (located just outside of West Bend) has taken his love of the outdoors and his keen eye for detail and brought them together to form a business, which is his passion. Wanting to do things right from the start, Jeff attended the Dan Rinehart School in Edgerton, Wisconsin. For those not familiar with the Dan Rinehart School, it is considered one of the best in the Midwest. Dan's work is renowned throughout the world of taxidermy.
Practicing the art of taxidermy since 2003, Jeff is certified in game heads, birds and fish. He brings his experience and education together resulting in trophies very different from common mounts. Each trophy is unique and is completed according to the customer's exact instructions. Each trophy is measured with the position of the mount considered: is the head to look up or down, left or right, or in a semi-sneak with ears back. Also offered is the option of having your trophy mounted on a wide variety of plaques, including the popular shape of Wisconsin.
Not only does Jeff mount deer but also small animals such as duck, geese, pheasant, squirrels and fish (mounts and replicas). Many small animal mounts are in a natural habitat setting. For example, Jeff can create a scene depicting a mallard on a piece of driftwood or coming into a swamp surrounded by moss, cattails and grasses. The options are only limited by the customer's imagination. If the customer chooses, Jeff can also depict fish in a habitat setting from a northern eating a bluegill to filling a stringer mount.
